How does SnapDance work?
Take a selfie, pick a dance template, and our AI generates a short dance video starring you. The AI animates your upper body while preserving your face, clothing, and background.
How long does generation take?
Most videos finish in 1–3 minutes. Complex templates or high server load may take longer. You'll get a notification when it's ready.
Why does my video look different from the template preview?
AI generation varies slightly each time. The template sets the dance style and energy, but exact movements may differ. Try generating again for a different result.
Can I use my own music?
Yes! On the Music Picker screen you can choose from our free catalog, upload your own audio file, or extract audio from a video URL.
How do I post to TikTok?
After your video generates, tap "Post to TikTok" on the result screen. You'll need to be logged in with your TikTok account first.
Is my selfie stored or shared?
Your selfie is uploaded temporarily for AI processing and is not stored permanently on our servers. We never share your photos with third parties.
What does "Viral" vs "Music" mode mean?
Viral mode auto-matches a trending TikTok sound and optimizes timing for virality. Music mode lets you pick a specific song and beat-syncs the dance to it.
How do I become a creator?
Log in with TikTok and your popular videos are automatically imported as dance templates that others can use.
